Access Ireland Holidays Pty Ltd ABN 69 513 269 044 acknowledges
the importance of privacy issues. This Privacy Policy explains
how we manage the personal information that we collect, use and
disclose and how to contact us if you have any concerns. From
21 December 2001, Access Ireland Holidays Pty Ltd will
be subject to the National Privacy Principles under the Privacy
Act 1988 (Cth) as amended by the Privacy Amendment (Private
Sector Act 2000).
The type of personal information we collect is directly related
to the products and services we offer and which you request from
us. This includes, but is not exclusive of - your name, address,
contact details, age, credit card details, dates and modes of
travel, and travel destinations. It may also include more sensitive
information like marital status, dietary and health issues. Other
information that may be collected can derive from communications
between you and us, and transactional information about your use
of our products and services (for example your feedback on how
you enjoyed your Ireland holiday). We are requires to collect
such information to fulfill our obligations as the supplier of
the services you require, for example car hire, accommodation
bookings etc.
How your personal information will be used
We collect your personal information so that we can use it for
our functions and activities, which include, amongst
other things:
- processing your travel booking.
- being aware of any special travel requirements
(health or otherwise) you may have.
- providing you with confirmation of your booking
and advising you of any changes to your itinerary or accommodation.
- confirming your identity so we can supply you
with the travel documents and vouchers.
- addressing any feedback or complaints you may
have.
- answering any queries you may have, and
- any purposes for which it was requested and
directly related purposes, and developing, improving and marketing
our products and services.
We will assume you consent to management of your personal information
in the manner specified in this Privacy Policy and our Privacy
Statement until you instruct us to the contrary.
Exchange of personal information with third parties
Personal information we collect from you
may be disclosed:
- to any entity to which we are required or authorised
by or under law to disclose such information (for instance,
Federal or State law enforcement agencies and investigative
agencies, courts, various other Federal or State government
bodies);
- to our business associates and suppliers and
others directly related to the purpose for which the personal
information is collected.
We may also obtain personal
and other information from some or all of the above to enable
us to provide our services or products to you. When we obtain
personal and other information from third parties whom we are
referred to by you, we will assume and you will ensure that you
have made that third party aware of the referral of the persons
and purposes involved in the collection, use and disclosure of
the relevant personal or other information.
Because Access Ireland Holidays deals with international
suppliers of travel products, we may transfer to people in countries
outside Australia any of your personal information needed by our
suppliers to fulfill our contractual arrangements of supplying
the goods or services you request.
Access and correction of your personal information
You can ask to obtain access to your personal information that
we and/or our suppliers hold, although under some circumstances
permitted by law, we may not provide such information to you.
Also, subject to law in other countries, we may not be able to
require our suppliers to provide personal information to you.
